Description
The 30 Amp / 50 Amp ELCI Sensor with stainless steel mounting bracket is designed to provide advanced electrical safety and reliable ground fault protection for marine shore power systems. Built with integrated power and fault status indicators, it allows for quick identification of system conditions, including clear differentiation between a ground fault and a short circuit trip. Housed in a chemical- and UV-resistant enclosure, it is engineered to withstand harsh marine environments while maintaining consistent performance. The sensing system operates with a trip level of less than 30mA (27mA nominal) and a response time of under 100ms (60ms nominal), meeting ABYC E-11 standards for safety compliance. Designed for flexibility, it supports 0–50 Amp systems at 120 VAC or 120/240 VAC and accommodates up to three 6 AWG wires without requiring wire twisting, simplifying installation. Operating reliably in temperatures ranging from -35°C to +66°C, the unit is built for extreme conditions. The PGFM series works in tandem with an Airpax™ LEL UL 489 listed circuit breaker with shunt trip and auxiliary switch, continuously monitoring conductor current balance and triggering a breaker trip when a ground fault is detected. This integrated system provides comprehensive shore power protection, ensuring safe and compliant operation for marine electrical installations.
