The LineGard™ PGFM system is designed to deliver advanced ground fault protection and reliable shore power safety by continuously monitoring electrical current balance and responding instantly to faults. Equipped with clear power and fault status indicators, it allows for easy identification of issues, distinguishing between a ground fault and a short circuit trip for faster diagnostics. Built with a chemical and UV resistant enclosure, the unit is engineered to perform in harsh environments, while operating across a wide temperature range from -35°C to +66°C. It supports protection from 0 to 50 Amps at 120 VAC and 120/240 VAC, and accommodates up to three 6 AWG wires without requiring twisting, simplifying installation.
At the core of the system is precise ground fault detection, with a trip level of less than 30mA and a rapid response time of under 100 milliseconds, meeting ABYC E-11 standards for safety. The PGFM operates in conjunction with an Airpax™ LEL series UL 489 listed circuit breaker, featuring a shunt trip and auxiliary switch manufactured by Sensata Technologies, creating a fully integrated protection solution. By constantly monitoring the current flow through all conductors, the system detects imbalances caused by leakage and immediately triggers the breaker via the shunt trip coil when a fault is detected. This combined design ensures both equipment leakage protection and main shore power circuit protection, providing a dependable and compliant safety solution for marine electrical systems.
